This course will provide you with a foundation for Web site development. We’ll cover the technical
elements of writing HTML5 and CSS3, the Aesthetics of successful web Page design and
techniques for maximizing web Page usability. You’ll use Adobe Photoshop for basic image Editing
and optimization (a necessity in building web sites!), as well as web authoring tools, such as
Adobe Dreamweaver. You’ll learn the basics of JavaScript to enhance your web site design, ASP.net
and learn about embedded audio and video files.

Style Sheet: A text file containing rules for displaying elements in a webpage. 1
Selector: Indicates which elements will be formatted. 2
Declaration block: Describes the formatting to be executed. 3
Comments: Organizational or descriptive notes added to style rules in CSS. 4
Cascade: When more than one style rule applies to an element, CSS uses this principle to determine which of the conflicting rules wins. 5
